How do you get to know of houses for sale before they're sold?

  How to make friends with the estate agent - * Call in and see them. Let them know you are in a position to buy now -and that you're financially able to. Also making it clear you're not going to quibble too much over the price will make you popular. If you're not in a chain you will be more ready than someone who has to sell their home -

• Let people know you are looking to buy a house in a particular area - friends of friends might turn up trumps!

Answer::: You could either ask the estate agent if they know - or visit the area yourself and find out. We've noticed an increase in houses for sale on roads with lots of speed bumps and speed limits so watch out for these when you visit areas.
You might also want to visit in the evening and check what the local nightlife is like -
There might be a perfectly good reason for it - and of course if you view a house you can ask them. Remember TV house programs train people to say "We're moving because of work" when really there are other problems such as lack of space, but sometimes people do really move cos of work.
